Some kitchens exude originality and personality in abundance. And that is what happens with this one, designed by the Seville-based company Egion, specialists in the execution of Architecture and Interior Design Projects; for which they have relied on the know-how of our distributor Confort Kitchen.
Wait a minute… can a white and minimalist kitchen be full of character? Yes, it can! We’ll tell you how.
The first thing we have to be clear about is that, in the world of interior design, it is not only the furniture and pieces that you include in a space that count, but the space itself and how it interacts with the different elements it contains. This kitchen is a clear example. It is located inside a house in the Triana neighborhood, which was completely renovated by Egion, who wanted to create a contemporary and minimal aesthetic while maintaining original elements. In the specific case of the kitchen, they have kept the wrought iron gate (very typical of Andalusian houses), the vaulted ceiling, and an exposed brick wall and window frame.
The current style comes from our Berlin laminate model in white with a handleless design. With it, they have distributed the kitchen in parallel as follows. On one side, we find the wall unit, in which they have placed the refrigerator, an oven and microwave column, the sink, and low and high furniture for storage. Opposite it, Confort Kitchen has installed a super-practical peninsula where we find, in addition to storage space, a gas hob and a breakfast bar.
And now begins the most interesting part of this project: the play of textures. The simplicity of the Berlin model becomes the perfect canvas on which to combine the white marble of the countertops and the different shades of white of the ceramic wall cladding. Together with the light gray of the floor, the black wrought iron of the gate and the hanging hood, the exposed brick and the wood of the stools; the result is simply spectacular.
The finishing touch comes from the cozy dining area that we find behind the peninsula, where you will surely want to spend many hours.
