In recent years, gray tones have emerged as a safe bet for kitchen furniture, perfect for those looking for a neutral alternative to traditional white. It is a color with a wide range of tones and full of possibilities. For example, this project by Sistema Cuina, one of our distributors in Barcelona, once again demonstrates its excellence in creating minimalist kitchens.
This project stands out for its studied simplicity and cleanliness, and for taking advantage of every last centimeter. Let’s take a closer look! Sistema Cuina has opted for an L-shaped layout with a central island, very suitable for optimizing space and workflow in kitchens that open to other rooms in the house. On the two walls that form this L, we are surprised by the large amount of furniture that has been incorporated into the design. On one side, floor-to-ceiling columns in which the refrigerator, oven, and microwave have been integrated.
On the other side, a column with a breakfast bar (with a shutter door) and wine rack are combined with a main area of base cabinets in which we find the sink and a row of wall cabinets above the window overlooking the garden.
Despite the large amount of furniture, it does not give us a feeling of overcrowding. Why? Because of the style of the fronts. Our distributor has opted for the Fenix laminate model in gray with a gola handle. To add some depth, the gola profile has been installed in black, matching the black marble-effect countertop with a marked grain, which gives an organic touch to the whole. Minimalism can also be seen on the island, where, maintaining the same materials as in the rest of the kitchen, we find a ceramic hob “camouflaged” in the black countertop.
