Simple, functional, and very cozy. This is the kitchen designed by our Vitoria distributor, Kela Interiorismo. But let no one be fooled. Behind this apparent simplicity lies a large number of well-made decisions. As happens in all good designs, of course. Join us to analyze some of the most important ones.
First of all, the layout. The space for this kitchen-dining room is rectangular with a single source of natural light. The solution to gain luminosity? Create a semi-open room to the living room, separated only by a large sliding glass door (with a black frame, so trendy).
Through it, we pass to a small dining area presided over by a round table, and then reach the kitchen area, distributed in a U-shape. On its three walls, we can perfectly see the work triangle: to the right, the cooking area, at the back the storage area, and to the left, the water area (which also has a large storage capacity). In this way, it is very comfortable to move around the kitchen.
Making the most of the available square meters was a priority in this project. For this reason, not a single centimeter has been left free on the back wall, and wall units have also been installed in the water area (note the detail of the incorporated light!). However, in order not to generate an overly crowded atmosphere, wall elements have been dispensed with above the cooking area, beyond the extractor hood. Another successful decision by our distributor.
Finally, we would like to highlight the selection of materials. For the base units, Kela Interiorismo has opted for our Calpe model, lacquered in matte white. This model has the particularity of having a direct handle, which gives a minimalist and very practical look to the whole. For the wall units, they have opted for our Gandía model, also dispensing with a handle so as not to break the aesthetic. To generate contrast, open modules have also been installed with our Valentina model, laminated with a walnut effect.
