If the words “wooden kitchen furniture” take you straight back to the past, you urgently need to see this kitchen. This project, designed by the architecture and interior design studio NOBO and carried out by our distributor Nivel 2 Muebles, is a clear example of how wood can create a multitude of atmospheres. Do you like what you see? Come on in, and we’ll tell you the secrets of the impressive kitchen in an equally impressive home in the Sierra de Extremadura.
It’s plain to see. Oak is the absolute star of this project. All the kitchen furniture is made from it. This is our Vera model in a matte sail finish. The fronts are characterized by a fine and subtle frame that slightly reduces the organic nature of this material and reinforces the straight lines to give the furniture a contemporary feel.
This modern aesthetic is reinforced with the inclusion of black elements, such as the handles, exposed appliances, sink and faucets.
All appliances, with the exception of the oven and microwave, are paneled to maintain the uniformity of the set.
To add luminosity and a natural look, a cream tone has been chosen for the countertops, which have a texture that reminds us of stucco in appearance; matching the walls and floor. A complete success to reaffirm the feeling of tranquility that pervades the entire room. The handcrafted rattan stools found on the island give the final touch to achieve a relaxed atmosphere.
In terms of distribution, we would like to highlight that this is a semi-open rectangular kitchen (two of its sides face the garden and the living room, respectively), so an L-shaped distribution has been chosen. The central area is masterfully dedicated to the kitchen island and a table that creates a cozy dining area.
