Black worktops: 5 examples you’ll fall in love with

Kitchens with black worktops are synonymous with elegance, sophistication and contemporary character.

This element, which may seem daring at first glance, becomes the key to transforming any kitchen into a unique design environment. A black worktop can be very versatile and help us to create different styles.

To prove it to you, in this article we show you 5 inspiring examples of kitchens with black worktops created by OB Cocinas distributors.

don’t miss them!

Muebles Avenida

Minimalism with natural touches

We begin with a project by Muebles Avenida in which black worktops with marble-style veining combined with handle-less furniture in the same colour and with a wood effect… This contrast between black and wood, accompanied by details in golden tones, such as the tap, between industrial and warm.

It is a perfect way to create a contemporary but cosy atmosphere, as the wood softens the presence of the black and creates a balanced space.

want to add a little extra naturalness to the space? Don’t forget to include some natural plants to bring freshness to the space and/or fibre elements to make it less sober.

ABP Partner

Black worktops, but lots of light and colour

We continue with this Parisian style project signed by our French distributor ABP Partner and decorator Alexandra Roman; a compact kitchen that shows us that black can also work in small spaces.

The black worktops blend seamlessly with the seawater-toned cabinetry of our Berlin laminate model, creating an unexpected and stylish contrast. Not surprisingly, we have seen quite a few kitchens in which this colour combination has been used.

However, if the kitchen is very small, we recommend you not to overload the space, opting for white walls or in very light tones, and not to install closed wall units.

To give more light to the room (and a touch of glamour), you can include details in gold, such as handles or taps.

Cuisine en Scène

Pure luxury: black and walnut

The third kitchen we bring you is from our French distributor Cuisine en Scène. Here, an impressive worktop made of black Cheyenne granite takes centre stage. Its natural white and grey veining and polished finish give it an exclusive and luxurious air.

But the result would be very different if the furniture were different. Our distributor has opted for our Fenix laminate in matt black and the Padova, made of walnut wood.

A combination that will leave you speechless.

Expocuina Girona

Black and white with a different touch

We continue with our ideas for integrating black worktops with this kitchen from Expocuina Girona.

Although at first glance it looks like a black and white kitchen, if we take a closer look, we can see that this design goes much further.

Our distributor has chosen a polished, high-gloss black worktop that gives luminosity and creates a striking contrast with our Creta model, a laminate with a porous stone effect.

It is a combination with a timeless look to which they have added a touch of personality through the wall cladding, with original tiles that make the whole look anything but monotonous.

OB Concept

All in black… or almost

We close our collection of ideas with a kitchen that goes (almost) all black. This is one of OB Concept’s most recent projects.

The black colour of the worktop and furniture is only broken through some wall units with a wood finish and the natural fibres of the chairs and lamps.

They have also added glass doors to the floor-to-ceiling furniture to create a lighter transition with the rest of the room.

the result? A sleek, contemporary-looking and very welcoming kitchen.
